Each student have their own particular interest and their own needs for exploration. Predominantly students need guidance and mentorship from the professional. Typically, Job Shadows require 10 days, Monday through Friday for 2 weeks with 6-8 hour days. Though we also have a Flexible Job Shadow Program which requires 2-5 days of commitment. In many ways, this is simply an internship.

What is YuCai High School?
YuCai High School International Department (YCID) is a cross-cultural education program that prepares students for fully active engagement and leadership in American universities and beyond. YCID sits within the boundaries the City of Shenzhen, the third largest economy of China and considered as the country’s window to the world.
Students must have their own beds, groups of two students are recommended, two to a room is okay if they have separate beds. Must provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. Homestay family must coordinate transportation for them to job shadow whether through car or public transportation. It is recommended that families enjoy meals with them to encourage conversation and dialogue. Homestay costs are offset with roughly $250 a week/per student.
